Japan's benchmark stock indices ended the day higher, as a weaker yen triggered a solid afternoon rally. The benchmark Nikkei 225 was 162.31 points, or 1.16%, higher at 14183.48. The broader-based TOPIX gained 6.83 points to stand at 1390.03.
