China's benchmark stock indices ended the morning mixed, as concerns over the economu were rekindled by the weaker Q3 GDP data.

The Shanghai A-share Index was down 14.88 points or 0.73 pct at 2,013.15, while the Shenzhen A-share Index rose 1.53 points or 0.29 pct to 531.54. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ended the morning down 14.10 points or 0.73 pct at 1,916.55, after touching a low of 1,890.92.
